Janusz Korczak (1878-1942) is one of the greatest educators of the 20th century.
He was a pediatrician and founded an orphanage, Dom Sierot in Warsaw in 1912.
The award, a bust of Janusz Korczak, is for an organization which provides in the spirit of Korczak active pedagogical pratice for children.
